NARO'S RESEARCH THEMES AND PROJECTS

In order to improve efficient and effective utilisation of resources in generating and disseminating appropriate technologies geared towards poverty eradication, NARO has adopted a Project Mode as opposed to the Program Mode used during the ARTP1. The project mode is intended to address a specific constraint or opportunity with a clear focus on deliverables. The project is time bound and thus after one project expires its resources can reallocated to another project. The priority projects presented here under were arrived at using the participatory approach where farmers, scientists CBOs, NGOs, The Private Sector and development partners were involved. The research projects are:
