Overall Objective

To manage and carry out agricultural research whether applied or adaptive for the Sourth-Western rangelands of Uganda.

Specific Objectives

• To ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency in delivering research services to Sourth-Western Rangeland Zone.
• Improve the quality, relevance and quality of NARO capacity to operate far a way from its major institutes

• Assist service providers throughout the zone to increase their capability to facilitate the flow of information to and from farmers.
• To multiply technologies, foundation seed and stocking materials for supply to stakeholders.
• To work in partnership as inter-disclinary research teams and networks with other public institutions(e.g NAADS, Universities, Colleges), private sector (e.g NGO), local governments (extension),farmers Fora, civil society and professional associations.
