National Agricultural Research Organization



  1. National Agricultural Research organization (NARO) has allocated funds and intends to apply part of the proceeds of these funds towards the cost of Goods, Services and Works
  2. NARO invites suitably qualified bidders to submit sealed pre-qualification bids for the provision of Goods, Services and Works indicated below for the financial years 2012/2013 to 2015/2016

  14. Construction materials (Lake sand, stones, bricks
  15. Mycorrizahal soil, Loam soil and Manure
  16. Live stocks  (Goats, cows, Heifers, pigs and poultry)

3.  Pre-qualification will be conducted in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act 2003 of the Government of Uganda. Pre-qualification is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4.  Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from National Agricultural Research Organization and inspect Pre-qualification document at the address given below at 7(a) from 9.00a.m to 12.00 noon and 3.00pm to 5.00pm.on official working days.

5.  A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX. 50,000 for each of the goods, services or works. The method of payment will be cash payable directly to the Uganda Revenue Authority designated account. The document will be hand delivered upon presentation of a copy of an official receipt.  No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6.  Pre-qualification bids must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) at or before 2.00 pm  on 16th May 2012.

    Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address below, 7(d) at 2.30 pm on 16th May 2012.
